Imagine a corner in the Mexican Caribbean, where time seems to have stopped. A place without big hotels, without beaches full of lounge chairs, and without the pressure of hundreds of fishermen competing for the same spot. That’s how we spent a week full of excitement with friends from Argentina. The weather wasn’t perfect, fishing isn’t easy, but it’s pure adventure fishing. Every day on the water is an exciting challenge with nature, but we managed some great catches: we brought 10 beautiful permit fish, 20 bonfish, and 3 gorgeous baby tarpons onto the boat. And of course, there was a party after each catch; it’s a tradition to dance if you’re on the Grey Ghost boat. We handle all the logistics, knowledge, and safety so you only have to worry about one thing: MAKING THE PERFECT CAST.
Local eyes and the right boat:
Our guides are natives of Xcalak. They have known every corner of the Bay of Chetumal and the inner lagoons since they were children. They have ‘eagle eyes’ capable of spotting a permit or a bonefish from afar, even when the sky clouds over. Come and discover paradise.
